Lake Ozark Daybreak Rotary celebrated its 21st annual Winterfest on Saturday, February 25 at Tan-Tar-A. Over 220 attendees gathered in support of lake area charities. Since 1997, Daybreak Rotary’s Winterfest has raised well over $600,000 for lake area charities and this year’s event continued that tradition raising nearly $50,000 with the help of generous sponsors!
Proceeds from Winterfest and the yearly Daybreak Car Raffle are used to support more than 40 local charities such as Big Brothers-Big Sisters, Camden Child Advocacy, Feed the Children, CADV, Kids’ Harbor, Share the Harvest, Wonderland Camp and many more. The strong financial support of Mpix, Redhead Lakeside Grill, Naught-Naught Insurance Agency, Shawnee Bluff Winery and Central Bank of Lake of the Ozarks played an integral part in the success of this year’s Winterfest.
A reception will be held in August, 2017 at Wilmore Lodge when we will give away funds after lake area recipients make application to receive them.
Daybreak Rotary, with the annual Winterfest event continues to fulfill our mission of “Service Above Self.”
Daybreak Rotary meets weekly at the First Family Church on Hwy 42 across from School of the Osage at 7:30 am. Breakfast is available. Visitors are always welcome.
