Ozarks Amphitheater and Lake Arts Council Will Host the Missouri Symphony
Mark your calendar. Save the date. The Missouri Symphony is coming to the Lake on June 9. The Ozark Amphitheater will host an event that will stand alone as the most fulfilling musical experience of the summer, if not the whole year. Classical instruments and renowned vocalists, and the best local entertainers and artists will provide the entertainment.
Maestro Kirk Trevor, conductor of the Missouri Symphony, will lead the program entitled "Strike up the Band." This concert for all ages will feature works from the classical repertoire to Americana and Pops selections, including iconic vocal selections from Rodgers and Hammerstein, with nationally recognized Broadway singers.
As visitors enter the Amphitheater, they will be greeted by dancers, singers, musicians, and painters along the promenade to the stage. Refreshments will be available from concession stands, and holders of VIP tickets will have a chance to meet and chat with the conductor and some of the musicians before the show.
Various members of the arts community have commented on the transformational properties of the first encounter with a professional orchestra. Musicians from around the U.S. and from three continents will offer the audience an experience unlike any other at the Lake this season.
Gates open at 6:00 and the concert begins at 7:00.
Bring the whole family to enjoy not only a wonderful evening of great music, but also to watch the exciting segment where younger audience members under 15 are brought up onto the stage to conduct the orchestra live!
A concert experience not to be missed.
Tickets will be available on line and from the Lake Arts Council office, Bridal Cave box office, and the Amphitheater box office.
