Lake Regional Health System will host “Understanding the Basics of Kidney Disease” at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, in the hospital’s third floor conference rooms. Harbaksh Sangha, M.D., a nephrologist and critical care specialist at Lake Regional Health System, will present the free health talk.
Topics will include an overview of kidney disease, how to avoid it, how the disease progresses and how to slow or stop its progression.
“You will learn about the challenges of kidney disease and strategies for overcoming those challenges,” Dr. Sangha said. “This health talk is for anyone who has concerns or questions about kidney disease, including spouses and other support people.”
The program is free, but registration is required. Visit www.lakeregional.com/kidney to register, or call 573-348-8222 for more information.
Lake Regional offers a variety of educational programming throughout the year, including health talks on arthritis, diabetes, heart attack and stroke.
