Lake Area Big Brothers Big Sisters is pleased to announce that they have received a donation of $3,522.  Ozark Coast Kawanis made the donation with the proceeds from their annual Duck Drop. “This donation will go a long way to matching the children still waiting with a list with a positive, consistent, caring adult”, said Alison Martin Program Coordinator of Lake Area Big Brothers Big Sisters.
This year Lake BBBS has made several new matches. With school starting we have a large need for men and women to volunteer one hour of their time at School of the Osage. All money donated stays here at the lake supporting local children.  If you are interested in more information about becoming a mentor or know a child between the ages of 6-14 that is in need of a positive influence in their life please go to lakebbbs.org or call Alison at (573) 348-5507 or email at Alison.martin@lakebbbs.org.  We cannot thank organizations like Kawanis enough that make Big Brother Big Sisters possible at the lake.
