Give Where You Live. Give Lake on May 9 to support the charities that make the Lake great.
Give Lake is a one-day online and live event held during the GiveOzarks day of giving to fund more than 225 non-profits across the region.
This year’s local online crowd funding campaign to support 12 Lake Area charities runs from midnight to midnight on May 9 at Lake.GiveOzarks.org. Community Foundation of the Lake will host a live event to bring the community and a dozen charities together for a free lunch and live music from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at Hy-Vee in Osage Beach. The live event centers around raising awareness about the non-profits helping local children, victims of domestic violence, feeding the poor, supporting the disabled and providing for a stronger Lake community.
Last year, the Lake event raised $51,000 in 24 hours from donors across the Midwest.
This year donors may choose to give to any of the following participating Lake area charities:
Citizens Against Domestic Violence
Big Brothers/Big Sisters
Lake of the Ozarks Developmental Center
Children’s Learning Center
Medical Missions For Christ
Food For Morgan County
Westlake Aquatic Center
The National Shrine of Mary, Mother of the Church
The Lake Arts Council
Forget-Me-Not Horse Rescue
Making a secure donation is simple. On May 9, donors will log onto Lake.Giveozarks.org to place a donation to their favorite local charity. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by the IRS.
All the organizations participating in Give Lake are 501(c)3 agency partners of Community Foundation of the Lake.
