Third Thursday Slow Art Viewing

You are cordially invited to visit the Camdenton library, 89 Rodeo Road, Camdenton, MO 65020 for our new program, the Third Thursday Slow Art Viewing, which will be the third Thursday of each month from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. In a typical setting, viewers only spend a few second with each piece, which is hardly enough to even appreciate the piece beyond a superficial level. The idea behind this event is to have a small number of works on display at the Camdenton library, whereupon patrons are encouraged to spend at least 10 minutes with each piece in order to really take in the details and appreciate the artist's vision. Our first event will be on the 15th of January 2026. We are currently looking for artists (of any medium - diversity is encouraged!) willing to display 2-4 pieces of high quality; we encourage artists to submit any piece they think deserves a "closer look".
